My name is Keith Colby. I was born in America in a small town just outside of Boston, Massachusetts, born. When I was a child, I was very interested in working with my hands. I can remember one Christmas party. When I was very young, my parents got me a mountain bike that I had asked for. The next day my mother found me with the whole bike spread out in pieces in the living room. What can I say? I like to see how things work! From then on I loved fixing things and making them with my own hands. About 10 years ago I got a knife from my father. That was given to him in the 80s. He worked as a machinist for a guy named Tony Bose from Indiana. Tony thanked my father for his work with a knife he made himself. I started researching Tony and his work for a while and quickly realized that I couldn't afford his knives. So why not just make my own? How hard could it be?
So there I was with a shop full of knife machines. I bought some and built others myself. But with my broken German I had trouble finding knife materials here in the EU. I was wondering if other people are having the same problem. I was looking for suppliers that produce high quality materials for the knife industry. After months of research and tons of samples, I placed my first order of G-10. The material weighed a total of 400 kilos! Since then I have worked with many hobby and full-time knife makers. You have the same passion as me. I love seeing what my customers can do with my materials. I always enjoy talking to them about new ideas. I always do everything to ensure you get the best bang for your buck. I stand by everything I sell. When you have a pile of material in front of you and a vision of what could be possible, that's what I love most about this hobby. Turning nothing into something...
